INTRODUCTION

“I consider myself very lucky and privileged, to be here alive and well today, this is the true reason that I went through these nightmares to prevent many more people going through similar lives and losses as I had.”

My introduction was my own tragic experience in the early 1980's and the loss of joy and self-confidence that I regained after nearly two years, together with my friends and clients, some over the age of 65, that I am in contact with from different parts of the world, has really inspired me to write this book after years of research and results.

Many asked me how their love and sex life and potency could be saved and their confidence regained.

In doing my research, I soon discovered that I found myself in one of those no go areas, and the more it was so, the more resolute I became to continue and break through the barriers set by tradition.

One very astonishing fact that I found, for me, was in relation to human behaviour in today’s society. The many taboos of the past , such as sexuality, gay men, lesbian women, bisexuality, abortion, safe sex, aids, is daily and openly discussed but what I am writing about, impotence and erection problems are still very much taboo subjects for people to talk openly about. Impotence and confidence are inter-related and lack of knowledge can destroy ones life and those within our close social circle. Humans are sexual beings and it is an important part of our lives, just as food and drink are necessary for well being, a healthy sex life is also known to be part of that well being.

Socially, after introduction I would be asked by people what I was writing a book on, I would say impotence. The reaction would be embarrassed silence, laughter, jokes or withdrawal, on the part of the people asking, not the usual polite interest. I tried telling people what I was writing about in a less direct way, but the reaction was always similar.
